Overview

With the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the manner in which industry arbitrations are conducted in a remote environment is one area that has undergone extreme change. On April 13, 2021, SIFMA and the SIFMA C&L Society gathered industry experts to discuss the challenges they have faced and how they have been addressed, including: conducting pre-hearing discovery remotely, direct and cross examination of witnesses while in different locations, interacting with opposing counsel, and engaging effectively with the arbitral panel during a hearing.
