Paul Means

Executive Director, Technology & Data Legal Group, Morgan Stanley

Paul Means is an Executive Director in the Technology & Data Legal Group at Morgan Stanley, based in New York.  His practice focuses on regulatory requirements relating to information management and recordkeeping, acceptable social media usage, and the Firm’s vendor relationships.  He is also the platform leader for the Contract Management Platform, which is developing tools and services to more effectively create, negotiate, and analyze the Firm’s contracts.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Paul was an associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Davis Polk & Wardwell where he focused on derivatives regulatory law with a particular interest in developing technology-based alternative delivery methods for legal advice.  Prior to law school, Paul was the Systems & Operations Manager for a boutique labor and employment law firm in San Francisco.  He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology & Management from the University of California, Davis.
