Course Description

The Coronavirus has rapidly expanded the amount of time spent in virtual meetings and online forums.  Whereas Leadership Presence refers to the authentic ability to connect and engage with a “live” audience, Virtual Leadership Presence is a related set of skills intended to maximize a leader’s potential to connect to stakeholders in a virtual environment.  While face-to-face encounters continue to be the most meaningful ways to build trust, establish rapport, and communicate effectively, the contemporary world requires leaders to adapt to remote work, making virtual leadership presence all the more important.

Successful leaders in every field have a rare combination of confidence, charisma, self-awareness and inspiration.  They attract our attention and compel us to action.  When a leader has “presence”, she/he can elevate those around her/him, energizing and galvanizing others to be able to overcome obstacles, adapt to a changing environment or to exceed their own expectations and grow as individuals.  This workshop adapts the concept of Leadership Presence to the virtual world.  When all you have is a square screen to forge and nourish the vital relationships with your team, your clients, your investors and those you manage, how do you amplify your presence and overcome the many barriers to true and authentic connection?  Virtual presence allows you to read the room (including the Zoom room) and to lift audiences away from the many distractions that are a part of modern, remote working life.

The Virtual Leadership Presence workshop offers tools and strategies to animate the screen, inspire the gathered audience, influence key stakeholders, and build momentum toward executing a strong and clear vision.  A vibrant leader with strong presence can bring people from the ordinary into the extraordinary, from the mundane to the impactful.  While some might argue that presence is an innate quality, this workshop will prove otherwise, demystifying the building blocks of presence and training to strengthen engagement with audiences.  By learning to be more “present,” participants will understand how to be more motivational as a leader, more convincing as a negotiator and more open and honest as a team member.
