Summary

SIFMA submits responses to six questions posed by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on September 28, 2010, in connection with the GAO’s study, pursuant to Section 929Z of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act), Pub. L. No. 111-203, 124 Stat. 1376, 1871 (July 21, 2010), on the impact of authorizing a private right of action against any person who aids or abets another person in violation of the securities laws.
