SIFMA’s Credit Rating Agency Task Force provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding proposed rule amendments for nationally recognized statistical rating organizations (NRSROs) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The Task Force supports reviewing these NRSROs but urges the SEC to look closely into enhanced disclosure requirements, rating recommendations and interaction between arrangers and NRSROs, NRSRO performance, and rating modifiers.
