SIFMA provides comments to the Chair of the California State Senate Public Employment and Retirement Committee opposing CA A.B. 2940, on legislation related to retirement, An Act to add Title 25 to the Government Code, relating to retirement.  SIFMA supports encouraging workers to save for retirement, but SIFMA argues against having the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) offer Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees (SIMPLE) IRAs to private and non-profit employees.
