US House of Representatives Opposition on the Arbitration Fairness Act

Summary

SIFMA as part of the Coalition to Preserve Arbitration (Coalition)  provides comments to the U.S. House of Representatives on the Arbitration Fairness Act, H.R.3010.  The Coalition strongly opposes H.R. 3010, because it would abolish pre-dispute arbitration agreements as a way to fairly, quickly and easily resolve consumer, employment, and franchise related contractual disputes, as well as disrupt commercial arbitration well beyond the bill’s advertised scope.
