SIFMA and SIFMA’s Asset Management Group (AMG) provide follow-up comments the Brockton, Mass. City Council opposing the use of eminent domain to seize securitized mortgage loans that are underwater or delinquent. Brockton City Council is considering forming a working group to examine the feasibility of the proposal. The groups share their views and a recent joint trade letter sent to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA).
