FASB’s Invitation to Comment – Agenda Consultation
SIFMA provided comments to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on its Invitation to Comment - Agenda Consultation (the “ITC”).
SIFMA and 24 other associations provide comments to the U.S. Senate Finance Committee on the importance of tax-exempt bonds. The groups urge Congress’ continuing support and commitment to tax-exempt bond financing in recognition of the critical role it plays in the ability of state and local governments to fund national priorities, particularly infrastructure. The groups believe maintaining the tax-exempt status of municipal bonds is essential to help the U.S. national economy grow, create jobs, and best serve the constituencies of every community.
