The Trading Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the National Association Securities Dealers, Inc.’s (NASD’s) proposed rule changes relating to the implementation of the SEC’s order handling rules, Release No. 34-38008; File No. SR-NASD-96-43. The NASD proposal would amend a variety of NASD rules to conform to the SEC’s new limit order display rule. SIA offers its observations and recommendations on the issue.
