Rules Implementing Amendments to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940

Summary

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission on proposed rules implementing amendments to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Release IA-1601, File No. S7-31-96. The amendments would implement provisions of the Investment Advisers Supervision and Coordination Act by reallocating responsibilities relating to the investment advisers and investment adviser represnetatives between the states and the SEC.
