The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) on the study being conducted by the U.S. Department of Treasury, the Federal Trade Commission, and the federal functional regulatory agencies.  The study was required as part of the financial privacy provisions included in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).  SIA offers their general views on the issues and responds to the specific questions detailed in the study.
