SIFMA provided comments to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on its Invitation to Comment - Agenda Consultation (the “ITC”).
SIFMA, in a letter to U.S. House lawmakers on the Committee on Ways and Means, expressed strong support for legislation to make permanent the rule allowing certain tax-free distributions from individual retirement accounts (IRAs) for charitable purposes (H.R. 637).
SIFMA urges the Committee to pass the legislation in its current form to create certainty for charitable donors and recipients alike.
