SIFMA provides comments to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) on a draft proposal for MSRB Rule G-42 (Proposed Rule G-42) on the standards of conduct and duties of municipal advisors when engaging in municipal advisory activities other than the undertaking of solicitations, MSRB Regulatory Notice 2014-01.

SIFMA supports the MSRB’s efforts to develop a framework for the regulation of municipal advisors, including the establishment of standards of conduct and duties of municipal advisors. However, SIFMA has significant concerns regarding Proposed Rule G-42.
