Proposed Rule Change to Establish BATS Exchange

Summary

SIFMA provided comments and a petition for disapproval to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on a proposed rule change to establish a new market data product called BATS Exchange, Inc. SIFMA believes the BATS Exchange’s actions are inconsistent with the decisions of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in NetCoalition v. SEC. SIFMA respectfully petitions the SEC to disapprove the proposed rule change.
