The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) on a proposed public information review initiative. SIA believes the existing system will stand to benefit from many of the technological enhancements under consideration. SIA supports the consolidation and reconfiguration of the existing disclosure information into a single, more “web-friendly” website. SIA also suggests the NASD improve certain proposed modifications in order to enhance the stated objectives of quality disclosure of meaningful information.
