Summary
Long-term securities issuance totaled $1.90 trillion in 2Q’18, a 4.5 percent increase from $1.82 trillion in 1Q’18 but a 1.3 percent decline year-over-year. Municipal, Treasury, corporate, and agency securities experienced increases q-o-q in the second quarter, while mortgage-related, asset-backed and equity securities experienced declines.
