Washington, D.C., March 3, 2020 – SIFMA notes the passing of industry leader Paul Purcell, former Chairman of Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated.

“Paul was a long-recognized industry leader who served multiple terms on the SIFMA Board of Directors as well as the Board of our predecessor, the Securities Industry Association (SIA),” said SIFMA president and CEO Kenneth E. Bentsen, Jr. “He had a long and successful career as an investment banker and visionary CEO. The industry and SIFMA have lost a great leader, mentor and friend.”
