BloombergTV: SIFMA CEO on Top Regulatory Hurdles

“We’re in a period now where our financial institutions are quite stable, extremely well capitalized and, in fact, what we’re seeing is liquidity trapped on balance sheet that could be redeployed elsewhere,” said SIFMA President and CEO Kenneth E. Bentsen, Jr. in an interview on “Bloomberg Daybreak: Americas.”

Speaking with Alix Steel and David Westin, Bentsen discussed the Treasury Department’s fundamental review of the financial regulatory framework and issues in the capital markets. “We’re not going back to a pre-2007/2008 period, we’re not going back beyond Dodd-Frank. What we are saying is ‘let’s make this work better.’” (Source: BloombergTV)
