Tyler Wry

Associate Professor of Management The Wharton School

Tyler Wry is an Associate Professor of Management at the Wharton School. Tyler’s research studies social enterprise and impact investing, with a special focus on how founders and funders pursue innovations and make strategic decisions that seek to simultaneously maximize impact and financial returns. Tyler’s work has been published in all the major academic journals and he is featured regularly in the popular press. His dissertation won the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies award for the most innovative management research worldwide. He currently serves on the Editorial Boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Sciences Quarterly, Organizations and Environment, and Organization Science. Tyler has received the Wharton Teaching Excellence Award each of the last five years. He is the Co-Director of the Wharton Impact Investing Research Lab, an Academic Advisor to the Global Impact Investors Network, and a Founding Partner at Impact First Ventures, a pre-seed stage fund that finds and supports young founders who are working to change the world.
