Rosie von Lila

Board Member and Executive Committee Member New America Alliance

Rosie von Lila serves as executive board member, and recently completed serving as Interim CEO, of New America Alliance (NAA). NAA, a 20 year-old national membership organization, is a titan in the space of advocating on behalf of Latino and diverse asset managers to have equitable access to capital. Rosie first joined the New America Alliance membership as the Founder and Director, Investor Relations of Lumera, formerly a New York-based firm focused on U.S. infrastructure investment.

Rosie is a collaborator with Riane Eisler and the Center for Partnership Studies on the strategic development of the Social Wealth Index, which documents the enormous economic value of the work of care, its key role in a nation’s human capacity development, and what investments are needed for a better quality of life, a sustainable environment to support life, and a strong economy.

Over her nearly 20 years’ experiential research on building participatory business cultures and communities around the world, Rosie authored a framework for stakeholder engagement and building social and business ecosystems. Through her Von Lila Framework for stakeholder engagement, she has been invited to be a guest at the U.S. Pentagon several times and a guest lecturer at the U.S. National Defense University. She is frequently invited to participate in strategic discussions and action groups focused on inclusion, diversity and collaboration.

In 2018, Rosie served as co-chair of the 2020 Women On Boards annual event in NYC, advocating to increase the number of women on public corporate boards. She formerly served on the Board of Directors for Bay Area Council, the 70+ year-old trade policy advocacy group in northern California.

Rosie lives in New York, where her hobby is interviewing intriguing people on What Comes Now — a live show and podcast about books and leadership. Through What Comes Now Rosie interviews incredible leaders who are breaking stereotypes, and who are all people of color. Past conversations have included: Maria Castro Vainer, Global Head of Governance for Managed Solutions at JP Morgan Asset Management;  Wendy Garcia, Chief Diversity Officer for NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer’s Office; The Honorable Michael Blake, NY State Assemblymember and Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee; and NFL star Ovie Mughelli, among others.

Rosie graduated from the University of San Francisco’s McLaren School of Business.
