Paul Brown

Retired New York City Fire Captain FDNY

Paul Brown is an educator, leadership coach and retired New York City Fire captain. A third-generation firefighter Paul spent over thirty years as a first responder. While a member of the FDNY Incident Management Team he participated in extensive training through federal agencies.  He deployed to numerous natural disasters and wildfires throughout the nation and was the chief procurement officer for the FDNY response for Superstorm Sandy.

Outside his role with the FDNY Paul has been involved in experiential adventure education and executive leadership coaching for the past 18 years. He has worked with clients including Estee Lauder, Mercedes Benz USA, World Economic Forum, F.I.N.R.A, Wharton School. Sharing his experiences involving high stakes decision making, and resilience with these clients. Currently he is collaborating on a project to draw lessons in leadership, decision making and resilience from FDNY leaders following  9/11.

A father of three he enjoys time with his family and is the leader of his son’s Boy Scout troop.
