Judy Saltzberg

Lead Instructor, Penn Resilience Programs University of Pennsylvania Positive Psychology Center

Dr. Judy Saltzberg is a curriculum developer and lead instructor for the Penn Resilience Programs at the University of Pennsylvania Positive Psychology Center. She earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania.  Her scholarly publications examine cognitive processes in depression and how individuals cope with stressors. She has been an Instructor in the Penn Master of Applied Positive Psychology program (MAPP) since its inception in 2005. She teaches a course on Positive Psychology and
individuals and oversees the students’ Master’s theses.

Dr. Saltzberg has lectured internationally on Positive Psychology and cognitive therapy topics, and has taught resilience skills to a wide range of populations including primary and secondary educators, corporate leaders, U.S. Army personnel, clinicians, and others. A Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, she maintains a private practice in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.
