Gerald Schreck

SVP, Head of Advisor Education and Training Osaic

Jerry is currently the head of Advisor Education and Training for Osaic, one of the largest networks of independent advisors in the US.  In his current role his focus is on helping advisors enhance the enterprise value of their businesses through development and organic growth.

He began his career in 1983 as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Atlanta, Georgia, eventually transferring to their Training Department in Princeton New Jersey where he helped to design the Professional Development Program for new advisors and launch the Advanced Advisor Training Curriculum. In addition to spending two years as the product manager for Merrill’s transactional futures business, Jerry also spent two years in Australia/New Zealand as the Regional Sales Manager and Training Director as well as three years in London as the Head of Producer Training for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In 2004, Jerry joined UBS to build out the Advanced Advisor Training and Teaming platform for the Wealth Management Americas business, and three years later was responsible for all training in WMA.  He was then asked to build out a sales training platform for the Investment Bank and the Global Asset Management Division.  This transition ultimately led to Jerry becoming the Head of Advisory and Financial Markets Education covering all revenue generating business divisions and corporate center functions globally.

In 2020 Jerry was invited to join Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) to head their talent development team for the Americas until 2003 when he joined Osaic.  Over his career, he has delivered a broad spectrum of training programs in over 40 countries to a range of people from analysts to senior executives, financial advisors to traders, bankers to home office leaders.  Key topics include, financial markets, communication and presentation skills, executive presence, sales and prospecting skills, leadership, and team dynamics.

Jerry holds a BBA in Management and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
