David Berglund

David Berglund is the founder and Managing Partner of Itasca Labs, an AI and Advanced Technology Consulting firm focused on enabling responsible AI systems. David previously served as Global Head of AI at FIS, overseeing the firm’s AI Strategy, Corporate Data, and advanced technology transformation efforts.

Before joining FIS, Mr. Berglund led Artificial Intelligence at U.S. Bank, driving product innovation, Risk/Governance, and the enterprise AI/ML strategy. Before U.S. Bank, David held multiple product, innovation, and strategy roles at UnitedHealth Group and was also a tech entrepreneur. He studied at Stanford University, the University of St. Thomas (MBA), Loyola University Chicago (BS).

David holds multiple patents related to AI systems and serves on industry advisory panels for the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and the University of North Florida. David resides in Ponte Vedra, FL where he is actively involved in the local startup community.
