Bobbi Block

Bobbi Block is an experiential Facilitator and Coach with a unique background in both training and the performing arts.  She specializes in using improvisational theater techniques to develop Leadership, Collaboration, Relationship Management and Presentation skills.  In addition to her work as an independent consultant, Bobbi is a Senior Affiliate with The Ariel Group, a global learning and development firm that uses theatrical approaches to teach Executive Presence.  In addition, Bobbi is an Instructional Designer and Facilitator for Work.Life.Leader, and is the Director of Applied Improvisation for CSZ Philadelphia.  Bobbi teaches and performs Improvisational Theatre in Philadelphia and is an Adjunct Professor in the Theatre Department at Temple University and Drexel University.

Bobbi has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, double-majoring in English and Development through Creative Expression.  She has a Masters degree in Theatre from Villanova University, and trained with master improvisers at renowned theater centers in Chicago and NYC.

In addition to co-founding and performing with Barrymore Award-winning ComedySportz Philadelphia for 25 years, Bobbi founded and is the Producing Artistic Director of critically-acclaimed spontaneous theater company, Tongue & Groove.  Bobbi has taught Improvisation at numerous theatres and colleges including University of Otago in New Zealand, The University of the Arts, Wilma Theatre, University of Pennsylvania, and Villanova University. For fun, Bobbi plays drums in the Brazilian percussion band Unidos da Filadelfia.
