Shakeema Kimble is the Head of Customer and Enhanced Due Diligence for RBC Capital Markets In this capacity her responsibilities include implementing policy and procedure, overseeing high risk client reviews, and effecting (or something similar) CDD program enhancements. In this role she has also been instrumental in the creating and implementing processes to comply with the CDD Rule. Since joining RBC Capital Markets in 2010, Shakeema has held a number of roles including Associate Director of Investigations and Enhanced Due Diligence in the AML and Financial Crimes Unit where she focused on anti-money laundering, economic sanctions and anti-corruption for institutional trading business, investment banking, corporate banking and the Royal Bank of Canada-World Financial Center branch. Her primary responsibilities included conducting investigations, drafting suspicious activity reports (SARs), reviewing and assessing adverse news, and performing enhanced due diligence assessments. She was also the US KYC Manager, where she oversaw the Know Your Customer and Customer Onboarding programs which focused on ensuring compliance with both AML and the securities industry regulatory requirements. Prior to working in the financial sector, Shakeema worked for the NJ Department of Corrections. She received her Master’s and her Bachelor’s degree from Kean University.
