Mr. Heller is Managing Director, Taxation, U.S. Information Reporting, for Royal Bank of Canada in New Jersey. In this capacity he oversees and coordinates the U.S. Information Reporting and Withholding function for all of RBC’s U.S. locations. Prior to joining RBC in 2007, Mr. Heller was with JPMorgan Chase for over 20 years. At the time of his retirement, he was the Global Tax Director for the company’s Treasury & Security Services business. He had also been European Tax Manager, Financial Director, Vice President and Tax Attorney for Chase, among other positions.
Mr. Heller is on the Tax Executives Institute’s Executive Committee as well as being a Vice Chair of the IRS Administrative Affairs Committee. He is a member of the NY Chapter of Tax Executives Institute, currently serving as Chapter Representative, Board Member and Chairman of LB&I Financial Services Subcommittee. He is also a Past President of the Chapter. Mr. Heller was appointed to serve on the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (“IRPAC”) from 2005 to 2007, becoming Vice Chair in 2006 and Chair in 2007.
Mr. Heller is admitted to practice law in New York and Ohio. He received his BA and JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland.
