Karan Mosley

Director of Global Information Reporting and Tax Withholding Barclays

Karan Mosley is currently the Director of Global Information Reporting and Tax Withholding at Barclays. She has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry as an attorney specializing in information reporting and tax withholding, which includes domestic and international taxation, regulatory compliance, and financial products.   Prior to joining Barclays, Ms. Mosley was at Burt, Staples & Maner, LLP, and Vice President at Lehman Brothers within the Corporate Tax Department. Ms. Mosley currently chairs the Wall Street Tax Association Information Reporting Committee.

Ms. Mosley has experience in establishing and implementing domestic and foreign guidelines on tax issues, such as: FATCA, ISDAs, cost basis reporting, summarizing the tax ramifications for clients entering into financial products, reviewing compliance issues concerning pension distributions, foreign tax reclamations, reporting legal settlements, and establishing procedures for reporting real estate transactions.  Ms. Mosley received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
