James Crowe

Jim joined the Edward Jones Legal Division in 2018 and serves as the head of litigation for the firm. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Saint Louis University School of Law, Jim began his legal career as an associate in the commercial litigation and white collar defense groups of a St. Louis-based international law firm.  He then served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois in the general crimes and white collar crime units. Jim returned to private practice and became a partner in the litigation boutique firm of Dowd Bennett LLP in St. Louis.  There, he represented clients facing significant, complex high-stakes civil litigation in state and federal courts.  He also defended criminal cases brought by U.S. Attorneys’ offices and regulatory enforcement investigations and actions pursued by various federal and state agencies and industry regulators.
