Jahad (Jay) Atieh is an Executive Director & Assistant General Counsel in the bank regulatory group of JPMorgan Chase’s legal department.  Jay focuses primarily on advising the firm’s Corporate and Investment Bank line of business on U.S. bank regulatory matters as well as providing firmwide coverage on the Volcker Rule and bank regulatory matters relating to the firm’s international operations.

Jay graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was editor in chief of the Journal of International Law, and obtained his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, with high honors.  Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, Jay was associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in their New York and Washington, D.C. offices, and was an attorney in the bank regulation and policy group of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s legal division in Washington, D.C.
