Henry Schwartz is the president and founder of Trade Alert LLC, the market leader in real-time option activity alerts and flow analysis tools that are crucial to competing in high-speed, fragmented markets. Institutional sales and trading desks, buy-side traders, exchange operators and the financial media have all found Trade Alert systems to be a valuable addition to their toolset, and Henry is frequently tapped to provide insight and intelligence at industry conferences and educational events. Over the past 30 years Henry has held trading and management roles with Bank of America, Bear Stearns, Salomon Brothers and the Hull Group, and made markets on the CBOE and AMEX floors in the US, and EUREX and MONEP overseas. Prior to launching Trade Alert, he led the electronic market-making group at Bank of America coincident with the launch of the first fully electronic options exchange, the ISE. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego and a master’s degree from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Over the past decade Trade Alert systems have given thousands of equity derivative professionals an informational edge through low-latency data, robust models and extensive market expertise, and Henry is proud of the innovations his firm has pioneered, including real-time side of market identification, sweep and complex order aggregation, unusual volume alerts and open interest tracking.
