Michael Richmond

First Vice President, Operations, Davenport & Company LLC

Michael Richmond is First Vice President of Operations at Davenport & Company LLC (Davenport) where he has been a dedicated member for nine years. As the Manager of Asset Services, Michael oversees funds and securities asset movement transactions, including journals, ACH, wires, checks, ACATs, options, and margin. He also leads Treasury Management, which includes oversight of treasury partners and associated capabilities.

Prior to his current role in Operations, Michael gained valuable experience during his college years as an intern and part-time employee in Retail Sales and Central Supervision. He joined Operations immediately after graduating from Randolph-Macon College in 2018 with a B.A. in Business-Finance and minor in Economics.

Michael played a pivotal role in Davenport’s transition from a self-clearing firm to a fully disclosed broker-dealer in May 2021. He lives in Virginia with his wife and their daughter, enjoys working on the family farm, and riding motocross.
