Sariyah Buchanan

Sariyah is an Associate General Counsel at Edward Jones, where she provides strategic support for all facets of the firm’s retirement business. Sariyah partners with business stakeholders to ensure IRA and employer-sponsored plan products, services and policies meet legal and regulatory obligations. She advises on fiduciary standards, prohibited transaction issues, and other complex rules under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Sariyah was a member of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice at Morgan Lewis, where she counseled benefit plan sponsors, fiduciary committees, banks, broker-dealers, trust companies and other financial services firms. She also clerked for the Honorable Petrese Tucker of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Sariyah is a graduate of Duke University and Howard University School of Law. She is a proud mother of two and serves on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
