
Matthew Mohlenkamp
Matthew Mohlenkamp is the Investment Company Institute’s (ICI) Managing Director for Asia and Global Analytics. In this role, he leads ICI’s engagements on policy and regulatory matters across the Asia-Pacific, including a significant focus on Japan.
Prior to joining ICI, Mr. Mohlenkamp spent 15 years at the US Treasury Department, where he held a variety of roles focused on international economic, regulatory, and financial policy and analysis. A member of the US Senior Executive Service, he served as Director of Treasury’s Office of South and Southeast Asia, and previously was Director of the Office of the Western Hemisphere. He also served as the U.S. Financial Attaché for Southeast Asia, based in Singapore, and as the Senior Finance Official for the United States in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
He holds a master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of International Studies (SAIS) and a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University.
