
Scott Litvinoff
Scott Litvinoff is the Chief Regulatory & Product Counsel at Interactive Brokers Group, a publicly-traded electronic securities and commodities brokerage firm offering trading, clearing, and custody in products in over 135 electronic markets in 33 countries around the world. In this role, he provides advice to senior management and others on issues relating to securities and commodities regulatory law, digital asset regulation, new product analysis and structuring, and other areas of financial institution regulation.
Scott is also a member of the board of directors of the BOX Options Market and was previously a member of the board of directors of OneChicago.
Prior to joining Interactive Brokers in 2014, Scott practiced in the Securities group at WilmerHale, advising and representing major broker-dealers, investment advisers, issuers, and Big 4 accounting firms in connection with a wide variety of issues, regulatory inquiries and litigation matters surrounding the federal securities laws, SRO rules, and accounting matters.
Scott, originally from Queens, New York, earned a B.S. in Physics from Virginia Tech and a J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Before law school, Scott spent almost ten years working as a software engineer in the telecommunications industry and has professional experience in designing real-time distributed software systems for the telecommunications and finance industries.
