Nicole Cammarota

Senior Counsel, Office of the Chief Counsel, IRS

Nicole Cammarota is a Senior Counsel with the Large Business and International division of the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Manhattan. Since 2010, Ms. Cammarota has served as LB&I counsel to the Foreign Payments Practice.

In 2009, Ms. Cammarota worked on assignment for the United Kingdom’s tax administration agency, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), working in the International Tax division. Ms. Cammarota has co-authored an article published in the UK Tax Journal about the IRS’s domestic and international information gathering powers. Ms. Cammarota is the recipient of numerous Chief Counsel national awards and was selected in 2010 for the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyer Award. Ms. Cammarota is a regular speaker on behalf of Chief Counsel and has spoken at SIFMA, the ABA Tax Section, PLI, TEI among other conferences.

Ms. Cammarota holds a bachelor of science in Accounting with Honors and received her JD/MBA from Indiana University. Ms. Cammarota has served as an adjunct professor in Tax Practice and Procedure at Brooklyn Law School and at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
