Edward P. O’Keefe

Ed O’Keefe is a Member at Moore & Van Allen and co-heads their Financial Regulatory Advice & Response Practice.  O’Keefe, former Global General Counsel of Bank of America, advises and represents large financial institutions, advising on all aspects of financial regulatory compliance, including bank supervisory issues, BSA/AML, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, resolution planning, stress testing, responding to regulatory inquiries, investigations, litigation, cybersecurity and technology issues, and risk management.  He also advises boards, General Counsel and senior management on corporate governance and law department management, including engagement with regulators and control functions.  Chambers & Partners has recognized O’Keefe’s expertise and his practice group at a Nationwide level in Financial Services Regulation: Banking (Compliance) in addition to a North Carolina ranking for Banking & Finance: Mainly Regulatory. Ed holds a B.S. from the University of Rhode Island and received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
