SIFMA provides comments to the U.S. Senate Banking Committee leadership recommending principles for reforming the U.S. housing finance system, including the Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs). SIFMA offers its experience and expertise, throughout the reform process, in analyzing and commenting on how policy choices made will affect the ability of secondary mortgage markets to provide liquidity to lenders, and thus the availability and cost of credit to support housing finance.
