Punit Mahajan is the Head of Data & Analytics Solutions for the Legal & Compliance Division at Morgan Stanley. He leads a global team responsible for designing, modeling and optimization of surveillances and controls to mitigate compliance risks like Market Abuse & Manipulation, Insider Trading, Anti-money laundering and Communications. As the Head of Data & Analytics Solutions, his focus is on adopting emerging technologies and advanced analytics to improve the effectiveness of the firm’s risk and control environment. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Punit has held analytics leadership roles in Risk, Quant Research and Compliance Analytics at other large financial institutions. He has a MS in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters in Computer Science from India.
