Jonathan Vogan

Quantitative Research Analyst, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Jonathan Vogan joined the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2015 in Philadelphia as a Quantitative Research Analyst working with OCIE’s Quantitative Analytics Unit (QAU). While at the SEC, Jonathan’s work has been recognized with The Chairman’s Award for Excellence, the Information Technology Innovation Award, and the Douglas Adams Award. Before coming to the SEC, Jonathan had worked in international banking, humanitarian aid, consulting, and in The US Senate. His most recent prior experience was at a hospital, building risk models for patient outcomes. A graduate of The University of Chicago, Jonathan majored in mathematics, history, and economics. Jonathan also has master’s degrees in financial economics (Univ of London), international relations (Johns Hopkins – SAIS), and an MBA (Univ of Penn – Wharton). Despite having lived in a dozen countries on five continents, Jonathan now lives just 6 miles down the road from where his grandfather grew up.
