SIA and FIA Submit Comments to the SEC on Confirmation Requirements for Certain Transactions in Securities Futures Products
Summary
The Steering Committee on Securities Futures of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* and the Futures Industry Association (FIA) provide comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on proposed confirmation requirements for transactions in securities futures products effected in futures accounts, SEC File No. S7-19-02. The groups believe the proposal strikes an appropriate balance for disclosure, and support the proposal, suject to two minor clarifications the groups describe.
