Summary
SIFMA and American Securitization Forum (ASF) provide comments to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors on proposed rule Regulation Z, Truth in Lending, Docket No. R-1305. SIFMA and ASF generally support the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) because it would assist borrowers in making informed choices and would promote market efficiency. However, SIFMA and ASF question some aspects regarding preemption, remedies, servicer requirements and regulation of mortgage brokers.
