2023 C&L Annual Seminar, Pre-Conference Survey Results

Ahead of SIFMA’s 2023 C&L Annual Seminar, we executed a pre-conference survey of attendees and select SIFMA members. We highlight the following:
- Industry Themes – The regulatory environment dominated the top priorities for the year ahead, followed by issues including compliance/supervision, Reg BI and communications
- General/Economics – cyberattacks represented the area of most concern, with 17.4% of respondents ranking it top of mind; 59% of respondents believe the US is about to enter a recession, while 69% believe we are not already in one
- Thematic Investing – 40% of respondents noted their firm’s interest in crypto is related to the underlying technology
