The Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA) is an agreement for use when parties enter into transactions for the purchase or sale of mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities and such other securities as may be set forth, including pursuant to when-issued, TBA, dollar roll and other transactions that result or may result in the delayed delivery of securities.

The agreement consists of a pre-printed master agreement that contains standard provisions and related documentation, all of which are available on this page. SIFMA also commissions legal opinions on behalf of its members.

Upon publication, all documentation is available in SIFMA’s Market Practices & Model Documentation Library.
