SIFMA’s Board of Directors Announces Newly Elected Officers for 2012

New York, NY, November 9, 2011–The Board of Directors of SIFMA announced it has elected Jerry del Missier, Co-Chief Executive of Barclays Capital and Co-Chief Executive of Corporate & Investment Banking, as the Association’s Chair for 2012.

The new principal officers include: Chet Helck, Raymond James Financial, Inc., as Chair-Elect; Kent Christian, Wells Fargo Advisors, as Vice Chair; and Bernard Beal, M.R. Beal & Company, as Treasurer.

“We are delighted to welcome Jerry as the new chair of SIFMA,” said Tim Ryan, President and CEO of SIFMA.  “Jerry’s valuable insight on issues facing the global financial industry, especially derivatives and capital charges, will be a tremendous benefit to SIFMA and our industry as we continue to move forward with financial reform implementation.  We thank Jerry for his willingness to serve in this important role.”
