TBMA Submits Comments to the US Department of Treasury on Aiding Regional Economies Effected by Hurricane Katrina

The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* providescomments to the U.S. Department of Treasury on several municipal bond-related provision that could aid the reconstruction efforts of the economic regions effected by Hurricane Katrina. Several members of Congress requested TBMA outline the recommendations and submit to the U.S. Treasury. The recommended provisions include: 1) federal debt relief service; 2) advancing funding; 3) private-activity bonds; and 4) mortgage-revenue bonds.
