TBMA Submits Comments to the SEC on TRACE-Eligible Securities Transactions

The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* submits comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)on a proposed rule change relating to the dissemination of information on Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine (TRACE)-eligible securities transactions, File No. SR-NASD-2005-120. The proposal would amend National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) Rule 6250. TBMA voices concern over the proposal, which wouldeliminate dissemination delays; and requests to review theNASD historical TRACE data to conduct studies by the industry on the matter.
