TBMA Submits Comments to the SEC on Shelf Offerings of Securities

The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)on aproposed rule change relating to the shelf offerings under the corporate finance rules of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD), File No. SR-NASD-2001-022. TBMA offersrecommendations on several elements of the proposal to streamline the process of filing and review of certain documentation relating to public offerings of securities registered with the SEC. The elements TBMA comments on relate to filing requirement andthe consistency of the proposal with market timing requirements.
