The Bond Market Association (TBMA) provides comments to the European Commission on the Commission’s consultation paper, Revision of the Investment Services Directive (March 25, 2002). Although TBMA filed comments on previous versions of the consultation paper, TBMA feels the Commission’s revised consultation paper still raises a number of general and specific concerns that may endanger the over-arching regulatory objectives of investor protection, market efficiency and the creation of a single financial market.
*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
